Christmas Carols
In every family a set of Christmas traditions
grows over time, in which the years are marked and small joys take on a
special meaning. Time add layer upon layer of meaning, and the Christmas
spirit is coaxed along until it envelops the house in its wondrous
warmth. One of the greatest charm of this season is the Christmas carols
that exudes a spirit of warmth, generosity and good will that is always
welcome everywhere.
Christmas carols are always great for getting into the Christmas spirit. Exuberant people bundle up and get ready to spread holiday cheer door to door with beautiful Christmas songs & carols. Some of the fascinating list of Christmas carols are: Jingle Bells Dashing thro' the snow, In a one-horse open sleigh, O'er the hills we go, Laughing all the way; Bells on bob tail ring, Making spirits bright, Oh what sport to ride and sing A sleighing song to night. Chorus Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way; Oh! what joy it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh. Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way; Oh! what joy it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh. A day or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride, And soon Miss Fannie Bright Was seated by my side, The horse was lean and lank; Misfortune seemed his lot, He got into a drifted bank, And we, we got upsot. Chorus A day or two ago, The story I must tell I went out on the snow And on my back I fell; A gent was riding by In a one-horse open sleigh, He laughed as there I sprawling lie, But quickly drove away. Chorus Now the ground is white Go it while you're young, Take the girls to night And sing this sleighing song; Just get a bob tailed bay Two forty as his speed. Hitch him to an open sleigh And crack, you'll take the lead. We wish you a merry Christmas We wish you a merry Christmas We wish you a merry Christmas We wish you a merry Christmas And a happy New Year Glad tidings we bring To you and your kin; Glad tidings for Christmas And a happy New Year! We want some figgy pudding We want some figgy pudding We want some figgy pudding Please bring it right here! Glad tidings we bring To you and your kin; Glad tidings for Christmas And a happy New Year! We won't go until we get some We won't go until we get some We won't go until we get some So bring it out here! Glad tidings we bring To you and your kin; Glad tidings for Christmas And a happy New Year! We wish you a Merry Christmas We wish you a Merry Christmas We wish you a Merry Christmas And a happy New Year Glad tidings we bring To you and your kin; Glad tidings for Christmas And a happy New Year! The Christmas Song Chestnuts roasting on an open fire Jack Frost nipping at your nose Yuletide carols being sung by a choir And folks dressed up like Eskimos Everybody knows A turkey and some mistletoe Help to make the season bright Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow Will find it hard to sleep tonight They know that Santa's on his way He's loaded lots of toys and goodies On his sleigh And ev'ry mother's child Is gonna spy To see if reindeer really know how to fly And so, I'm offering this simple phrase To kids from one to ninety-two Although it's been said many times Many ways; "Merry Christmas to you" O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, you stand in verdant beauty! O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree! you stand in verdant beauty! Your boughs are green in summer's glow, and do not fade in winter's snow. O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, you stand in verdant beauty! O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, much pleasure doth thou bring me! O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, much pleasure doth thou bring me! For ev'ry year the Christmas tree brings to us all both joy and glee. O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, much pleasure doth thou bring me! O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, thy candles shine out brightly! O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, thy candles shine out brightly! Each bough doth hold its tiny light that makes each toy to sparkle bright. O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, thy candles shine out brightly. O Christmas tree! O Christmas tree, thy candles shine out brightly. Joy to the world! Joy to the world! the Lord is come: Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven, and heaven and nature sing. He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders of his love. |
